Brief intro to the role:
TransferRoom is looking for a Credit Control Assistant with prior experience in financial operations, particularly in credit control, invoicing, and payment reconciliation, ideally in a global or software-driven environment.
This person must be fluent in both Spanish and English languages (+Portuguese is a bonus), able to communicate effectively with global clients and internal teams.
Highly organized, tech-savvy, and a strong communicator, capable of working in a dynamic, global environment.
What you’ll be doing:
As a Credit Control Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the financial operations of our software platform.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Making phone calls to all customers with invoices which have been issued to get them paid in a timely manner.
- Dispute resolution of overdue invoices.
- Creating and sending accurate invoices.
- Keeping the invoice collection software up to date.
- You will also update our CRM system regularly, ensuring client records and data are current and accurate.
- Working closely with the sales representative & customer success team in handling invoicing issues, flagging payment reminders and assisting with maintaining good client relations.
- Process customer deal information through our revenue and billing platform.
- Reconcile payments and follow up on underpayments, and ensure that the company maintains a healthy cash flow.
Ongoing Project Involvement:
As the company is always evolving, you will be involved in innovative financial projects. You will assist in the testing of automation tools designed to streamline credit control tasks and support the integration of a new credit check platform. You will also contribute to the development of a staff commission automation platform that will optimize the way commissions are tracked and paid.
Who you are:
- Previous experience in a credit control or financial assistant role, ideally within a global company or software-driven environment.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish (addition of Portuguese is a plus), with strong communication skills in both languages.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and revenue/billing platforms.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Experience with drafting legal documents and contracts is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with financial automation tools and credit control processes.
- Familiarity with global payment reconciliation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
