Brief intro to the role:
As our Lead Cyber Security Engineer you will work as part of the technology organisation, focused on the Compliance and Infosec programme that protects TransferRoom and its customers across the globe. As a member of the team, you will be expected to maintain a high bar for quality, have an automation-first mindset, leverage best practices and deliver well-architected solutions and frameworks.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead the delivery and implementation of the NIST cybersecurity framework at TransferRoom.
- Execute against prioritised deliverables aimed at optimising, improving or maintaining the security posture of the TransferRoom platform and business.
- Handle stakeholder-facing elements of the role with high standards of customer service.
- Bring a can-do attitude to your work, looking to grow and evolve your technical skills and share your knowledge to grow others.
- Demonstrate technical competency in the work you produce.
- Offer a risk-based approach to day-to-day work.
Who you are:
- Previous experience in Infrastructure Engineering / DevOps / Cyber Security roles.
- Proven track record of implementing and successfully delivering security frameworks such as NIST, ISO127001 or SOC across a fast-paced organisation.
- Proficient in coding and scripting in either Python, PowerShell or Bash or a comparable scripting language.
- Expert knowledge of the Microsoft Azure Cloud platform and the well-architected framework.
- Understanding of risk management principles.
- A team player, who is self-motivated with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to haves:
- Vendor, product, methodology and/or industry certifications.
- Experience of configuration management tools, vulnerability scanners, proxies, WAFs, artefact management.
- Experience in secured Azure, or other, Cloud architectures and engineering solutions.
